Razer was happy with the release of its first smartphone, the Razer Phone, last year, and as such has decided that a sequel to the handset is called for.
That smartphone will be announced on Wednesday, October 10. Until then, the rumor mill will probably be working overtime to try and show off as much of the upcoming flagship as possible before Razer can get around to announcing it. That initiative kicks into high gear with this clear look at the front and back of the Razer Phone 2, courtesy of Evan Blass (@evleaks) posting an image on Twitter recently.
There’s not much to go on, as the tweet doesn’t include any pertinent text regarding the handset. We can see a few details, though: There will be the big bezels on the top and bottom of the screen, which will house the forward-facing speakers that were praised in the first generation model. There is a USB Type-C port on the bottom of the handset for charging.
Around back we can see a pair of cameras, with the flash positioned between the two lenses. The familiar green Razer logo is right there for everyone to see as well. We can expect the Razer Phone 2 have a big, high resolution display again, as Razer will be positioning the handset as a perfect device for folks who like to play games on their handset.
As mentioned above, Razer will announce the company’s new smartphone in short order, so we don’t have long to wait. Are you excited to pick up the Razer Phone 2 later this year?
