Dimitar Valev, Head of Mobile for LG Bulgaria, was recently interviewed by Dnevnik.bg, and during that interview he mentioned a few upcoming LG products everyone kind of knows about already. For example, he says LG will release a tablet. That’s already been leaked. He says LG will release a watch. That’s five month old news. He also says LG will release a 6.0 inch phone. That’s sort of new information, but a device that big is easy to predict since Samsung did it already with the Mega and Huawei did it with the Mate.

There’s also word of a Firefox OS phone, but let’s not go there.

The key question, as always, is when will these devices hit the market? The tablet will land this year. That’s a given. Rumors say it’ll be announced at IFA in Berlin, which takes place in two weeks. The watch on the other hand, it looks like a 2014 device, which doesn’t bode well since Samsung will be unveiling their own watch on September 4th. And as for the jumbo phone, that’s an unknown, but judging by how many of you think the 5.5 inch Galaxy Note II is too big, I doubt the 6.0 inch LG will attract much attention.

I will say this, I hope LG brings out a device in H1 2014 that uses their new ultra high resolution 5.5 inch LCD panel. That would clearly be an amazing accomplishment, though to be fair, no one really knows what Samsung’s cooking up in their labs.
