Samsung Galaxy Note 9 render leak

On August 9, Samsung is going to announce the Galaxy Note 9, its newest flagship phablet. Before that can happen, though, the rumor mill has a lot to uncover.

Android Headlines today is showcasing the first look at what they believe is the Galaxy Note 9, based on a reliable source providing what they say is an official render of the upcoming device. As you can see from the picture above, there isn’t much being changed with the Galaxy Note 9 compared to last year’s Galaxy Note 8, with Samsung deciding to keep the design from last year’s model for this year’s iteration.

The report points out that the sensors, front-facing camera, iris scanner, and earpiece are in the exact same spot as the Galaxy Note 8’s design. And while Samsung is keeping the Infinity Display design around for another year, it doesn’t look like there are any significantly smaller bezels this time around compared to last year’s model.

Moreover, we can see that the physical buttons on the sides of the phone are right where they were last year, including the Bixby button below the volume keys.

What we don’t get a look at is the back of the phone, where it is expected Samsung will be repositioning the fingerprint reader. We will have to wait a bit longer to see if renders confirm that move, as this report doesn’t include a look at the rear panel.

For a quick refresher, the rumored specs of the Galaxy Note 9 include a 6.3-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot, Android Oreo out of the box, and a battery that reportedly measures in at around 4000mAh. The handset will come with the standard S Pen, and also boast a pair of 12-megapixel cameras on the back.
