HTC is going to release a phone later this year codenamed “Zara”. Thanks to Evan Blass, the man behind the famous @evleaks Twitter account, we now have a spec sheet and a photograph. Let’s get this out of the way: This phone is not for you. Most everyone reading this is likely considering a phone with a screen that outputs at least 720p, and the Zara only does 960 x 540 pixels.
If that’s OK with you, here are the rest of the specs of the device: 4.5 inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of storage with a microSD card slot, 8 megapixel camera, 2100 mAh battery, and it’ll ship with Android 4.3 out of the box, running Sense 5.5 on top.
No word on pricing, but judging by the specs, I’d be hard pressed to imagine this going for more than 400 Euros. The Boom Sound speakers might pump up the retail price, but not by much.
Also, some of you may have noticed @urbanstrata in the image. That’s the Twitter handle of HTC’s Head of Global Communications. He doesn’t like @evleaks for obvious reasons, so @evleaks is returning the favor.
