Google is sending out emails to some ‘loyal’ Nexus customers offering them a 20 percent discount towards the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. The discount is valid until February 28, though Google is sending out emails to potential customers living in the United States.
Surprisingly, Google has only sent out emails regarding the discount to only Nexus owners and not to original Pixel owners. Thanks to the discount, the Pixel 2 (64GB) is now available for $519, while the 128GB variant can be had for $599. The bigger Pixel 2 XL is available for $679 after the 20 percent discount, while the 128GB variant can be had for $679.
The Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are frequently discounted by Verizon and other retailers so don’t be disappointed if you have not received the 20 percent email discount from Google. Verizon is currently offering a discount of up to $300 on the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL if you buy the handset from it right now on a new line.
It was thanks to the various discounts that Google saw a noticeable bump in Pixel 2 sales during the holiday season. So, it is not surprising to see the company continue offering discounts on the handset even now. If you are in two minds about whether you should buy the Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL, you really should pull the trigger on it. The handset packs the best camera around in a smartphone, has great battery life, and being a Pixel, it will always be at the forefront of receiving security and OS updates from Google.
