OnePlus 5T

Ahead of the official unveiling of the OnePlus 5T next week, the handset has leaked in all its glory with its detailed specs in tow. The leaked photos of the handset show off its 6-inch FHD+ 18:9 AMOLED display at the front with minimal bezels.

To accommodate the bezel-less design at the front, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the rear of the device.

Apart from the switch to a bezel-less display at the front, the OnePlus 5T also comes with an improved dual-camera setup at the rear. While the primary sensor remains the same, the secondary telephoto lens has been replaced with a f/1.7 20MP Sony IMX376K sensor featuring 1.0um large pixels. The leaked marketing materials suggest that the handset will automatically switch to the secondary lens in low-light situations for improved photos. Despite the change in camera setup, the 5T comes with Portrait mode and Clear Zoom.

The front of the handset continues to feature a 16MP f/2.0 shooter with 1.0um pixel. To go along with the improved camera setup, OnePlus has also revamped the camera app’s interface making it more simple to use.

Other specs of the handset remain the same as the OnePlus 5. This includes a 3300mAh battery with Dash Charge support, dual nano-SIM card slots, 64/128GB of internal storage, USB-C port, 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and more. On the software front, the 5T will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.

OnePlus is all set to unveil the 5T on November 16 at an event scheduled in New York. Rumors point to the handset being priced the same as the OnePlus 5 despite coming with an improved dual-camera setup and a bezel-less display.
