HTC November 2 2017 event

If you’re a fan of HTC and were hoping the company would have one more phone to announce this year, it looks like you may have something to look forward to.

Today, @HTC tweeted out that they will be announcing something new on Thursday, November 2. The tweet is pretty simple, reading “We’re bringing something new for the #BrilliantU,” without adding any kind of hints as to what they could be announcing. Other than the fact that this will be another product in the “U” series.

There is a connected image, but it doesn’t really give anything away, either. There’s a big “U” up front, along with the day of the event, and HTC asks the world to save the date. There are some shapes in the background, but nothing appears to give away what, exactly, HTC will be announcing on the big day a couple of weeks from now.

The rumor mill, as usual, might have the answer, though. Just yesterday we saw a few images and a video that allegedly outed the physical design of the upcoming HTC U11 Plus. That handset will apparently be a slightly bigger version of the original U11 that launched earlier this year, with a few tweaks and changes. The same design aesthetic will be in place, though, including the mirror finish on the back of the handset.

Nothing is confirmed as of right now, but with only two weeks to go before the announcement, we don’t have long to wait. Plus, as usually happens, the rumor mill will more than likely show off the handset several times before HTC can get around to announcing it next month.
