Just a couple of days after Apple announced its new iPhones, Google has confirmed that it will be holding an event of its own on October 4. The company is expected to unveil its second generation Pixel handsets alongside a smaller Google Home at the event.
While the company is yet to send out official media invites for the event, it has started teasing about the event on its homepage i.e. Googele.com with an “Ask more of your phone” tag line. Clicking on the link takes one to a madeby.google website where it shows “Thinking about changing the phone?” followed by “Stay tuned for more on October 4.” You can show your interest in the event by entering your email ID and your country.
Alongside the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, and a cheaper Google Home, Google is also expected to debut new Android One handsets from HTC and Motorola at the event. These new handsets will help bring Android One brand to the United States which has so far only been limited to Asian markets like India and Indonesia. It also goes without saying that Google will be announcing improvements to Google Assistant at the event and provide us with more information about Google Lens.

Are you looking forward to Google unveiling its second generation of Pixel handsets? Or are you more excited about the Android One brand coming to the US?
