LG Q8 official2

Having a pair of rear cameras on your smartphone is all the rage these days, and LG continues that trend with a brand new smartphone.

Over in Italy, the Life’s Good crew has officially unveiled the Q8. It is a handset that looks quite similar to the flagship V20 from last year, including the pair of rear cameras on the back and even a secondary display on the front. The primary screen measures in at 5.2 inches and has a resolution of 2560×1440. Meanwhile, the secondary display sits above it and has a resolution of 160×1040.

Under the hood, there’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, it has 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, and a 3000mAh battery. There’s a microSD card slot for expandable storage, a USB-C port, and it’s running Android 7.0 Nougat. It also supports Hi-Fi Quad DAC and HD audio recording.

As for the cameras, the primary shooter is a 13-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization, while the secondary rear camera is a wide-angle 8MP sensor. There is a 5-megapixel camera on the front of the phone.

As mentioned above, the Q8 is only available in Italy right now, and there’s no word from LG if the handset will arrive in other markets. That’s a shame for those who might want a handset that might not have a huge price tag, but also doesn’t necessarily skimp on all the important features. While the processor might not be the best, the other specs certainly make up for it.

Would you pick up the LG Q8 if you could in your neck of the woods?
