Google Calendar

Google Calendar for Android has been updated to version 5.7.29 which allows users to modify an event time using a drag and drop gesture. This can be accessed from the Day, 3 Day and Week view of the calendar.

Editing an event time was quite cumbersome previously, requiring users to manually tap the event and head over to the edit page. This new drag and drop feature makes it easier to edit events on the fly. The standard notification appears on the bottom once you’ve made the changes, which can be used to undo the change if the move was accidental.

Once edited, standard Calendar protocol will apply, with all users involved in the event being notified of the change. Google hasn’t made the features of this new update public, preferring to keep it rather low key. There doesn’t appear to be any other major features with this particular update as of yet.

Google Calendar Update

Google Calendar on Android can only handle minor edits as of now. Bigger changes like shifting the events to another calendar will still take some time and require you to access the desktop version of the app. But incremental updates like this one go a long way in furthering user experience.
