Google Family Group sharing

Google loves letting its users share content, especially within families, and that idea expands into a new Family Group feature.

Today, Google announced Family Group, which will cover a variety of different services and let sharing the content therein be even easier than ever before. The Family Group includes YouTube TV, which will let up to six household members access their own cloud DVR, as well as all the regular channels available on YouTube TV, including ABC, FOX, and others.

The other platforms include Google Keep, which will allo for corroborative notes, and Google Calendar, which will lock own calendars for families only (but still allow contacts outside of the family to be invited to events). The Family Group also includes Google Photos, which will collect all the members of the family in one location, so if you want to share photos and videos, you won’t have to select the family members individually.

The new Family Group is rolling out now in these select countries:

  • Australia
  • Brazil
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Ireland
  • Italy
  • Japan
  • Mexico
  • New Zealand
  • Russia
  • Spain
  • United Kingdom
  • United States
