August 7th, New York City, LG is going to announce the G2. They’ve already announced a a case for it (not joking) and that the ringtones were recorded by a Viennese boy’s choir (seriously not joking). In terms of leaks, there’s are countless numbers of photos and even a hands-on video. But the internet can do better, right? The French website Nowhereelse has managed to score the G2’s Korean product manual.

Did they upload the whole thing to the internet? No, but they shared some key details. First, the dimensions: 138.5 mm tall by 70.9 mm wide by 8.9 mm and with a weight of 143 grams. How does that compare to Samsung’s flagship, the GS4? The G2 is 1.9 mm taller, 1.1 mm wider, and 13 grams heavier. Not bad considering the screen is 0.2 inches larger.

Second, there’s confirmation that the G2 uses nano-SIM cards, which is a royal pain in the ass. That’s the same size SIM card the iPhone 5 uses and the new Moto X. Maybe with time everything will move to nano-SIM, but today a majority of devices use micro-SIM cards.

Third, we’ve known forever that the back of the phone has a volume rocker, but there was some speculation as to what the middle button embedded inside the rocker actually did. Most people, myself included, thought it was a fingerprint scanner. Nope, it’s just a power on/off key.
