Nokia has confirmed that it will be launching its new Android smartphones — the Nokia 3, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 — in the United States. In fact, the company is planning on launching its new handsets on a global scale.
This means that there is a high probability of the new Nokia-powered Android smartphones launching in your smartphone. While the company did not provide any specific timeframe, it had already previously stated that it will be launching its trio of Android smartphones in Q2 of 2017.

All the three Nokia phones are budget oriented so it will be interesting to see if Nokia plans on selling them unlocked in the US or if it will partner with US carriers to get the handsets to their retail stores. The latter will provide the company’s handsets with more exposure, but it can pose a hurdle to its commitment of rolling out monthly security updates and quick Android updates to its devices.
And if you were hoping that Nokia would launch its iconic Nokia 3310 in the US as well, prepare to be heartbroken. Since the Nokia 3310 is a 2G only handset with support for the 900 and 1800MHz band, it is not compatible with any of the US carriers.
Are you looking forward to Nokia launching its mid-range Android handsets in your country?
