Samsung’s big day at the MWC is here, and with it, the announcement of the Galaxy Tab S3. The tablet is a bit of a shift from the conventional Galaxy Tab S devices, in that it comes with an S Pen stylus on board. Previously, this was only limited to the larger Galaxy Note tablets as well as the phablets.

Samsung has been mindful enough to pack a beefy hardware underneath, which includes a 9.7-inch 1536 x 2048 Super AMOLED display, something that we’ve seen since the first gen Galaxy Tab S. The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 820 quad-core chipset, which isn’t exactly the latest SoC out there, but will still work for a tablet such as this one.

There’s a moderate 13MP rear camera on board here, accompanied by a 5MP front facing camera. The company is using 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded by up to 256GB using a microSD card slot.

What’s exciting here is the fact that the tablet comes with a keyboard on board. While initial impressions suggest that it’s nothing to write home about, it should get the job done pretty well. Overall, the Galaxy Tab S3 comes with a fairly exciting hardware specs sheet with something for everyone. There’s a keyboard and S Pen for the productivity buffs, and the gorgeous Super AMOLED display for some casual reading or movies on the go. Keeping the device juiced up is a 6,000 mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab S3 will be available starting next month, although availability might differ depending on the market. Early reports have indicated that the tablet will be priced at £600 ($750 approx), which makes it slightly expensive compared to conventional tablets.

Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy S8 just a few days after the MWC. While the manufacturer was originally expected to take the wraps off the handset during the MWC, it’s pretty evident at this point that the company is going to hold its own event post MWC. Some reports have mentioned that the Galaxy S8 will officially reach the markets on April 21, so we’re still some distance away from seeing it hit the shelves.
