Xiaomi today started rolling out the global stable build of MIUI 8.2 for a bunch of devices. The latest release of MIUI comes with a number of new features, enhancements, and bug fixes.

There is now an improved layout for the quick toggles in the Notification shade along with new system sounds and ringtones. Xiaomi has also finally added the ability to dismiss notifications from the lock screen by simply swiping on them — a feature that has been present in Android for ages but was removed from MIUI for some inexplicable reason. The built-in antivirus app in MIUI is now also smart enough to scan for apps that were not installed from the Google Play Store.
