Motorola is all set to unveil the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus at MWC later this month. However, ruining the company’s launch event is today’s leak of some press renders and marketing materials of the Moto G5 Plus that reveal key features of the device and give us a clear look at the device from all angles.
Catching up with the competition, the Moto G5 Plus will now come with a “precision-crafted” metal design that has been made from diamond-cut high-grade aluminium and bead-blasted for a premium look and feel.
As for the specs, the marketing material point to the handset coming with a 5.2-inch Full HD display, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset clocked at 2GHz, 2GB RAM/64GB storage, and a 3000mAh battery with TurboPower charging. It is likely that Motorola will launch a 3GB RAM variant of the handset as well albeit at a higher price.
On the sensors and connectivity front, the handset will come with a Gyroscope, Accelerometer, NFC, Fingerprint sensor located at the front, dual-SIM slots, and LTE connectivity.
The highlight of the Moto G5 Plus is going to be its rear 12MP camera, though, which features Dual Autofocus pixels for faster and reliable AF and a wider aperture that lets in 25 percent more light. As for the front, there is a 5MP wide-angle selfie shooter.
The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus will likely go on sale in Brazil and India, two of the most important markets for Motorola, soon after their international unveiling.
