Following the renders of the LG G6 leaking yesterday, @Onleaks has now posted renders of the handset based on its CAD data. The renders give us a clear look at the design of the G6, which clearly seems to be based on the G5.

The renders show LG retaining the dual camera setup on the G6, with the fingerprint sensor located below it. However, the fingerprint sensor lacks a hump this time around despite the power button being integrated into it. As for its dimensions, the LG G6 will be 8mm thin at its thickest point, with the top of the phone measuring 8.3mm. Its dimensions of 148.8 x 72.3 x 8.3mm suggest that it will come with a 5.3-inch screen.

As for the modular design, it looks like LG is going to bid adieu to it with the G6. Considering that the modular aspect of the G5 never picked up and actually led to the phone having some build quality issues, this should not be surprising. Since the G6 will be LG’s flagship phone for the first half of 2017, the handset is expected to come with a Snapdragon 835 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage. LG was the lone OEM in 2016 to continue offering removable batteries on its flagship handsets, and it will be interesting to see if the company continues that trend in 2017 or not.

It’s unclear when LG plans on launching the G6, but since renders of the handset have already started leaking, it is likely that the company is gearing up for an MWC debut for the handset.
