Xiaomi seems all set to release its first ever global product as it has announced that it will be attending its first ever Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in Las Vegas early next year (January 5-8). The Chinese company has not revealed what its first global product will be though.
Xiaomi had attended this year’s Mobile World Congress where it unveiled the Mi 5, its flagship for the first half of 2016. While the handset was only released in China and India, Xiaomi still decided to use a global event like MWC to unveil the product in a bid to likely showcase its engineering prowess and for the world to take notice of its products.

Xiaomi sells a number of products in China including air purifiers to VR headsets to action cameras so it’s unclear for now what the first global product of the company will be. Earlier this year, Xiaomi also launched its first product in the United States, the Mi Box. Running Android TV, the Mi Box is available through Walmart and other major retailers in the US for $69.
Hugo Barra, VP of Xiaomi International, had also told Bloomberg earlier this year that the company would be launching some of its products in the United States very soon.
The chances of Xiaomi’s first international product being a smartphone are very slim though. What do you think is going to be Xiaomi’s first product for the international market? Drop a comment and let us know!
