Google today started rolling out the November security patch for its Nexus and Pixel devices. To go along with it, the company has also posted the detailed November security bulletin and uploaded the factory and OTA images for all the devices on its website.
This time around, there are three different security patch levels to provide other Android OEMs with the flexibility of quickly rolling out a fix for more important vulnerabilities first that are common across a wide range of devices. The first partial security patch level carries a date of November 1st, while the complete security patch level has a November 5 date. The third security patch dated November 6th is a supplemental patch that is only meant for selected devices and contains fixes for publicly disclosed vulnerabilities. You can find the complete details on all the vulnerabilities patched by Google in the November Security Bulletin here.
As mentioned earlier, Google has also uploaded the factory images and OTA zip files with the November security patch, including for theVerizon-branded Pixels. The big red carrier is also rolling out the OTA update with the build number NDE63X for the Pixels on its network and has provided a short change log of the update as well.
