Almost everyone who has a remote bit of idea about the smartphone market has at this point made or shared a joke (us, included!) relating to the Galaxy Note 7 and its exploding battery fiasco. Joining that bandwagon today is none other than the president of United States Barack Obama himself.
Speaking at the Miami Dade College while defending his Affordable Care Act, President Obama used an analogy comparing smartphones to the “bugs” in the act.
When one of these companies comes out with a new smartphone, and it has a few bugs, what do they do? They fix it, they upgrade. Unless it catches fire and then they just, then they pull it off the market.
But you don’t go back to using a rotary phone! You don’t say, well we’re repealing smartphones — we’re just gonna do the dial-up thing.
And you can find the video of the whole speech here just in case you want to laugh on Samsung’s misery even more.
While President Obama did not directly name Samsung or Galaxy Note 7, the above incident must have surely left Samsung red-faced and embarrassed.
