Samsung Galaxy Note 7

With the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has bundled its various note-taking and memo applications into a single and more powerful Samsung Notes app. In previous Note devices, Samsung used to bundle different apps like Scrapbook, S Note, Action Memo, and Memo for different functionality.

By bundling the functionalities of all these apps into a single app, Samsung is able to offer a better experience to its users. For existing Note users, the company also offers an option to import their notes from S Note and Memo into Samsung Notes.

Highlighting the capabilities of its new Notes app in a blog post, Samsung states that it has completely overhauled the drawing experience to provide an even better user experience. Most importantly, Samsung has revealed through the blog post that it will be making its new Samsung Notes application available for previous generation Note devices as well. For now, the app is only available exclusively for the Galaxy Note 7.

While Samsung did not provide more details, it is likely that we will see Samsung Notes come to existing Note devices with an upcoming software update. Considering the amount of functionality the app offers, it is unlikely that Samsung will make the app available through the Google Play Store for them.

Are you happy that Samsung is bringing its new Notes app to older Galaxy Note devices as well?
