Reliance has extended its free Jio preview program for more mid-range Samsung devices and LG smartphones. Up until now, the company has been issuing free Jio SIM cards to owners of selected high-end Samsung devices.

Reliance Jio’s preview program will provide you with one Jio 4G SIM card for free. The SIM card will provide you with three months (90 days) of free unlimited calls, messages, and high-speed data. The company is offering its Jio SIM cards for free to test its network before its commercial launch that is scheduled for later this year.

Reliance has officially extended its program to popular mid-range Samsung devices like the Galaxy J5, J7, On5, On7, and LG smartphones like G5 and K7. A full list of officially supported smartphones can be found here.

However, reports are coming in that the company’s stores are issuing SIM card to owners of any 4G LTE smartphone users. The company has not yet made an official announcement on this matter, but numerous people on Twitter and Facebook have successfully managed to get a Jio SIM card without any hassle.

Unlike before, Reliance is issuing SIM cards for free without the need to generate any coupon code. All you need to do is head over to your nearest Reliance Digital or Xpress store with your ID proof and relevant documents, sign the form, submit the documents, and get the free SIM card.

Once issued, the SIM card can take up to 48 hours to activate. Once it is activated, you will need to call 1977 for tele-verification before you can start using the SIM card. If your MyJio app shows that you only have 2GB of data, don’t worry. The unlimited pack will be automatically activated within 2 days of the SIM card being activated.
