Making sure that your Google account is secure is very important, so Google wants to make sure you’re aware of any new device activity right when it happens.
Google already sends out emails when a new account is added to a device, but now Android device owners will get another way to stay on top of things. Google has officially announced that it is rolling out native Android notifications to inform users when a new device has been added to their account.
A notification will arrive that will inform the user that a new device has been signed into by their account. There is an option to review account activity, when will then allow the user to see where the device is, their IP address, the time in which they logged in, and their browser as well. From there, the user will be able to say yes, that it was their device that signed in, or no, that it wasn’t them, and to take further steps to lock down their account.
Google says the new security feature is rolling out now.
