An alleged teaser of the Galaxy Note 7 has leaked, and it points to the handset coming with a dual curved edge display like the Galaxy S7 edge. While the authenticity of the leak cannot be verified, it does seem to be legit and inline with Samsung’s previous teasers.
The teaser carries the tagline “Write on the edge of something great” which hints at not only the curved display of the handset, but also hints at the S-Pen coming with new functionality to take advantage of the curved screen.
It has also been reported multiple times from credible sources that Samsung will be calling its next flagship Note handset, the Galaxy Note 7. The company will be doing this so as to align the naming scheme of its flagship phablet with its flagship Galaxy S handset. The company fears that consumers might think the Galaxy Note 6 is an older model compared to the Galaxy S7. This move will also allow the company to better take on the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus from Apple that will be released in September this year.
Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Note 7 sometime in early August. The handset will reportedly feature a 5.8-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display, an Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6GB of RAM (!), and the same 12MP f/1.7 rear shooter that is found on the Galaxy S7.
