Samsung held an event in South Africa over two weeks ago to announce two news phones, the Galaxy Pocket Neo and the Galaxy Star. If you don’t remember these devices, it’s OK. They’re incredibly low end, and they were announced less than 24 hours before Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S4 to the world.

For some strange reason, Samsung has decided to announce these phones a second time. So with that, here’s what you need to know: Both the Pocket Neo and the Star have a 3 inch 320 by 240 pixel resolution display. They also both have a 2 megapixel camera. They both also come in dual SIM and single SIM variants.

Where they differ is their processors. The Star is faster (1 GHz) than the Pocket (850 MHz). And that’s it. These two phones are the exact same device, except one has a little bit more horsepower.

Should you buy either of them?

No. Do your eyes a favor and buy the Galaxy Fame. The screen is larger, has more pixels, the camera is better, and it looks more like a GS3 than either the Pocket Neo or the Star.
