When Amazon launched its Fire HD 10 tablet last year, one complaint was that it felt “plasticky,” but the company has finally started to alleviate that issue.
Amazon has added a brand new “Silver Aluminum” option to the Fire HD 10 lineup. This gives the tablet, with its 10-inch display, a metal design which should help make it feel a bit more premium. What’s more, Amazon is also making sure that the price doesn’t change. The 16GB and 32GB metal variants cost the same as the 16GB and 32GB plastic option: $229.99.
Amazon is also throwing in another model altogether, with a 64GB Fire HD 10 in Silver Aluminum now available. That retails for $289.99. At the time of this writing, there’s no 64GB version of the plastic Black or White models.
Would you consider picking up a metal Fire HD 10?
