TTYL, says Motorola, in the general parlance that many smartphone owners will remember back when the Moto RAZR was all the rage, and owners had to furiously type at traditional number pads to send text messages.
Motorola has published a pretty quick video to its official YouTube page, which harkens back to many years ago when the Moto RAZR was the talk of the town, and if you were in high school at the time, probably saw the device all over the place.
The ad runs just over 40 seconds, and shows a variety of high school kids using their Moto RAZR, flipping it open and closed, and even accessorizing, as a song plays in the background. It ends with the familiar “TTYL” and even a vocal, “Hello Moto” right there at the end.
All of this to say that Motorola has something planned for June 9, 2016. Now that the teasing has begun, we’ll probably start to hear even more about what Motorola has planned for June. The company has already unveiled a new lineup of Moto G handsets, so expectations are leaning towards new flagships.
However, they apparently won’t be called Moto X this time around, and instead Motorola is said to be going with the Moto Z Play and Moto Z Style.
