Mi Max

Alongside MIUI 8, Xiaomi today also launched the Mi Max. The latest phablet from the company features a metallic build and houses a gigantic 6.44-inch Full HD display inside a 7.5mm slim body.

Xiaomi boasts that despite coming with such a huge display, the Mi Max will easily fit in your pocket due to its slimness. The 203g heavy phone is 173.1mm tall and 88.3mm wide. The bezels surrounding the display are relatively small, though Xiaomi has still managed to fit in capacitive navigation keys on the bottom bezels.

Mi Max specs

Inside the 7.5mm thin Mi Max is a Snapdragon 650/652 processor (variant dependent), 4GB RAM and 128GB of storage space.

Other specs of the Mi Max include an IR blaster, a fingerprint sensor at the rear, 4G+ network support and dual-SIM connectivity. The rear also houses a 16MP shooter with PDAF and an LED flash, while the front houses a 5MP shooter with an 85-degree wide-angle lens. All this is powered by a beastly 4850mAh battery.

Mi-Max-Pricing

The Mi Max will be available in three colors: Silver, Gold and Dark Grey. Xiaomi will be launching three different variants of the Mi Max at three different price points.

The base variant will come with a Snapdragon 650 chipset, 3GB RAM, and 64GB of storage space for RMB 1499. The next variant has been priced at RMB 1699 and packs the same amount of RAM and storage space as the base variant, but comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 652 chipset. Lastly, the top of the line variant of Mi Max has been priced at RMB 1999 and comes with 4GB RAM, 128GB storage space and Snapdragon 652 chipset.
