Last year, Amazon launched its Fire tablet in a single color (black), and with a $49.99 price tag. Several months later and Amazon’s updating the lineup.
Amazon has officially announced a brand new 16GB Fire tablet, doubling the built-in storage from the initial launch tablet. It will retail for $69.99, and it’s available now from Amazon’s digital storefront. On top of that, Amazon is bringing new colors to the line as well, launching blue, magenta, and tangerine. The new colors are available for the 8GB and 16GB models.
Amazon is also throwing on a green “kid-proof” case for its Fire Kids Edition tablet, and launching a 16GB model as well. The 8GB model still retails for $99.99, while the 16GB Kids Edition tablet will set buyers back $199.99.
At such low prices, the Fire tablets are a worthwhile option for someone just looking for a tablet to consume media and who doesn’t want to break the bank. Have you tried out one of Amazon’s tablets?
