One of the stand-out features for HTC’s One-branded flagships was BoomSound, which gave the front-facing speakers plenty of attention.
But as it stands right now, the Rumor Mill suggests that HTC won’t equip its newest flagship, called the HTC 10, with that same equipment. Still, that hasn’t stopped the manufacturer from taking to Twitter to tease “the new boom” anyway, with a new image posted recently. The text below the image, which is all black with chrome accents, reads, “Here comes the new boom. You’ll hear it. #powerof10.”
It’s a pretty straightforward tease, but unfortunately it leaves a lot to the imagination. Is HTC going to surprise us with a new phone that offers front-facing speakers again? Or will the rumors pan out and the speaker will be placed on the bottom of the device? HTC’s BoomSound has also been associated with the software on the device, too, so HTC could be making some improvements there, too.
Are you getting excited for the next flagship from HTC? We don’t have much longer to wait, as HTC plans on unveiling the HTC 10 on April 12.
