Google has started rolling out the first OTA update for the Android N Developer Preview. It has also released updated factory images for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9, with an updated build number NPC56W/X.
Google has not released any changelog for the update, so it is tough to say what’s new, but I am guessing we are looking at some bug fixes and performance improvements here.
Since the updated factory images are available, you can always go ahead and flash it manually on your Nexus device, or just wait for a couple of days for the OTA update to show up on your phone. If you decide to go with the former, you can grab the updated factory images from here, while the steps to flash it on your device can be found here.
Android N comes with a number of major new features including split-view multitasking, a redesigned notification bar, and more. While Google released the first developer preview of the OS earlier this month, the final version of the OS is scheduled to arrive sometime in Q3, 2016 or later. You can read all about the new features in Android N here.
