It’s been just about a year since HTC first unveiled the Desire 626, and now the company is back with a slightly upgraded version for India.
HTC officially announced the new device recently, and it comes with some slight tweaks to the specifications list. Some things are staying the same, though, including the 5-inch 720p display. There’s a new processor under the hood with the MediaTek MT6752 octa-core chip, clocked at 1.7GHz. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage, and has support for a microSD card. There’s 2GB of RAM in this version. There’s a 13-megapixel camera on the back, and a 5MP front-facing camera on the other side.
The battery measures in at 2000mAh, it boasts Bluetooth 4.1 and LTE-connectivity. It’s running Android 5.1 under HTC Sense. It offers support for two SIM cards as well.
It’s set to launch at participating retailers in India for INR 14,990 (about $220) in the coming weeks.
