Samsung Galaxy S7 Unpacked event

Putting an end to rumors, Samsung has gone ahead and sent out official invites for its ‘Unpacked’ event on Sunday, February 21 at in Barcelona, Spain. This is just a day before Mobile World Congress, the biggest smartphone event of the year, officially starts in the city.

Thanks to leaks, we already have a fair bit of idea regarding what the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge will pack. Both handsets will sport a design similar to their predecessor, with minor changes here and there to improve the ergonomics of the device.

Internally, the handsets will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 chipset, 4GB RAM, 32/64GB of storage space, and a microSD card slot. Samsung will also launch an Exynos 8890 powered variant of the handset in certain parts of the world.

Samsung’s Korean competitor, LG, will also be unveiling its flagship smartphone — the LG G5 — at Mobile World Congress this year. The handset will sport a radically new design with a ‘Magic Slot’.
