Just a couple of days after teasing their launch on Twitter, Samsung today launched its Galaxy On series of smartphones in India: the Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7. Both handsets were initially unveiled by the company in China last month.
The Galaxy On5 is the cheaper of the two handsets launched today, and comes with a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.3GHz Exynos 3475 chipset, 1.5GB RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, an 8MP rear shooter, a 5MP selfie shooter, and a built-in 2,600mAh battery. The Galaxy On7, on the other hand, comes with a 5.5-inch 720p resolution display, a quad-core Snapdragon 410 chipset, a 13MP rear shooter, and a 3,000mAh battery. Other specs of the handset remain the same as its cheaper sibling.
Both phones have been tailored for developing markets like India, and come with features like dual SIM connectivity, Ultra Data Saving mode, Download Booster, Palm Gesture selfie mode, and more. The handsets also support 4G LTE networks in India, and comes pre-loaded with MixRadio that provides one access with over 30 million tracks.
The Galaxy On5 and On7 will be available exclusively through Flipkart in India in black and gold colors. The former will set you back by Rs. 8,990, while the latter will cost you Rs. 10,990.
