A couple of months after its official unveiling and being under beta testing, Xiaomi has now finally started rolling out the final build of MIUI 7 for a selected range of its devices.
With MIUI 7, Xiaomi has focused on improving the speed and stability of the OS. The company boasts that the overall system responsiveness will improve by 30 percent in MIUI 7, with RAM usage decreasing by 10-15% and battery life improving by 10%.
Additionally, the update packs in many new features like Lockscreen magazine, Child Mode, Quick OTP, and four new System UI themes. There are a plethora of other minor new features like an XXL font size, Showtime, Mi Drop and more.
Xiaomi is currently rolling out the MIUI 7 OTA update to the Mi Note, Mi 4, Mi 3, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 1S 3G, Redmi Note 4G, and the Mi Pad. The update is being rolled out in batches, so it will not show up immediately on your Xiaomi device.
However, if you have the technical know-how, you can download the Fastboot or Recovery-flashable version of the ROM from here and manually install it on your device.
