On September 29, HTC is holding an event where it’s expected the company will unveil what’s been known as the A9 for quite some time.
That handset, which has been rumored and leaked for awhile now, is said to be a relatively mid-range device, which will also boast a design that should be familiar to many. With that aside, a report published recently by G for Games suggests that the upcoming A9 has been caught out in the wild ahead of its official unveiling, while at the same time supposedly confirming the specifications.
It’s hard to argue that the device in the image above doesn’t look like the press renders that have been published in the past of the rumored device, but even the original report could not verify the validity of the image, so get that salt shaker handy.
As far as the specifications go, the A9 will reportedly boast a 5-inch FHD AMOLED display, with 16GB of built-in storage and 2GB of RAM. Sony’s name is mentioned in the specs list, which could mean there’s a sensor in there used by the company, or it’s a sign that the specs list is a mockup. The handset is also expected to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, which could be clocked at 1.5GHz.
Based on the rumors of the A9, do you plan on considering it as your next device?
