Earlier this month, a leaked image reportedly showcased LG’s upcoming, but still unofficial, V10 — a device that is said to feature a secondary “ticker display.”
Unfortunately, back then, the image wasn’t that great, so it was hard to tell just what that auxiliary display would look like on the final product. Now, a new image from serial leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) has reconfirmed that the ticker display is indeed real, and it sits right above the actual 5.7-inch display.
This particular image shows the ticker display with a row of app icons, which would suggest that the secondary display can help launch some apps quickly, like the camera and messaging. Earlier reports suggested that the secondary display would also serve as a notification panel, much like Samsung’s Continuum of old, so it’s likely that the ticker will have a variety of functions.

As far as specifications go, it’s rumored that the V10 will have the aforementioned 5.7-inch display, with a resolution of 2560×1440, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor under the hood, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, and a 5MP front-facing camera. It’ll supposedly boast 3GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage with a microSD card slot for good measure.
Interestingly enough, based on this latest image, it looks like the V10 will have two front-facing cameras, which would certainly be an interesting design decision. What it actually means for functionality is unknown at this point.
What do you think of the V10 so far?
