Motorola today unveiled its mid-range flagship handset — the Moto X Play — in India. The X Play was unveiled by Motorola back in late-July.
The handset comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD screen that is protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, the Moto X Play is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, an Adreno 405 GPU running at 550MHz, 2GB RAM, and 16/32GB of internal storage. The device also features Wi-Fi connectivity, a front-facing speaker, a water repellent design, a microSD card slot, and a 3630mAh battery, which can easily power the handset through nearly two days of heavy usage.
The Moto X Play comes with a 21MP rear camera with an F/2.0 aperture and a dual-LED CCT flash, while the front comes with a 5MP selfie shooter.
Like all other devices launched from Motorola over the last couple of years, the Moto X Play runs on a near stock build of Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, with a few apps and enhancements from the company thrown in.
