The sources of SamMobile claim that Samsung is working on an Android tablet with a gigantic 18.4-inch display. The company is targeting this tablet for use in schools, living rooms, offices and other such setups.

The 18.4-inch tablet will feature an LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 and will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 7580 chipset clocked at 1.6GHz. It will also come with 2GB RAM, 32GB internal storage, a microSD card slot, and a 5,700mAh battery. The 11.9mm thick tablet will be 451.8mm wide and 275.8mm tall, and will sport an 8MP shooter at the rear and a 2.1MP camera on the front

Codenamed ‘Tahoe’, the device will be running on Android 5.1.1 with Samsung’s TouchWiz interface on top of it.

It is unclear when Samsung plans to launch the tablet or how it plans on taking advantage of the bigger screen. Nonetheless, with an 18.4-inch screen, it is unlikely that the Korean company is going to find many buyers for the tablet if it does end up releasing the device to the public.
