Earlier this year, Google added the ability to directly cast presentations from Google Slides to Chromecast or any AirPlay capable device. Starting from today, the company is expanding this functionality to allow Google Slides users to directly cast a presentation to a Hangouts video call.

To cast a presentation to a Hangouts video call, simply open the Google Slides app, tap the Presentation button and then select either an ongoing video call in Hangouts or initiate a new one or even select meetings that are scheduled in your calendar.

You can advance slides, view speaker notes, and control other aspects of the presentation during the video call using your Android phone or tablet as well.

Additionally, Google also rolled out an update for Google Keep that adds the ability to direct export a note from Keep to Google Docs. While not really earth shattering, this option can come in handy in certain situations for some users. (richmondartmuseum.org)

The updates for Google Slides and Google Keep’s Android app with these new features baked is rolling out through the Google Play Store over the next few days.
