A new report from The Information claims that Huawei is making the next Nexus handset with Google. This report corroborates with previous reports that we have heard about the upcoming Nexus handset.

The report from The Information is scarce on the details about this Huawei made Nexus handset, and only says that the handset will launch later this fall — which is usually when Nexus devices are launched.

Huawei has been trying to leave a mark in the US market since the last few quarters, and a Nexus handset will help it make serious inroads in one of the largest smartphone markets of the world. The partnership will also benefit Google, which could use this Nexus handset to enter into the Chinese smartphone market where Huawei is a pretty big player.

A previous report from last month claimed that Google is working on two Nexus handsets: one from LG and another one from Huawei. While the Huawei made Nexus will feature a 5.9-inch Quad HD display and a Snapdragon 810 processor, the LG made Nexus will feature a smaller 5.2 or 5-inch display and sport a 2700mAh battery.

While not much is known about the upcoming Nexus handset, one thing is for clear: Huawei is definitely making at least one Nexus device this year.
