Xiaomi Mi 4 shipments

Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun announced on Weibo today that the Chinese company has shipped 10 million units of its 2014 flagship — the Mi 4 — since it launch last year.

Like all its other handsets, Xiaomi managed to pack the Mi 4 with some high-end specs and sold it at a very tempting price that made it popular among consumers. The handset comes with a 5-inch Full HD display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB RAM, a 13MP rear camera, an 8MP front-facing camera, 16/64GB of storage space and a sealed 3080mAh battery.

Xiaomi had launched the Mi 4 in June last year, which means that the company managed to ship 10 million units of the handset in only around 11 months. This is even more impressive once you factor in that the handset is only sold in some major Asian markets, which includes China and India.

To celebrate this milestone, Xiaomi will be selling the 2GB/16GB variant of the Mi 4 in China for only 1499 Yuan (~$240). The original retail price of the handset is 1699 Yuan.
