Sony today announced its new global flagship handset — the Xperia Z3+ and the Xperia Z3+ Dual. The handsets are a re-branded version of the Xperia Z4 that was unveiled by Sony in Japan last month.
The Z3+ builds on its predecessor — the Xperia Z3 — and features a lighter (144g vs. 152g) and slimmer (6.9mm vs. 7.3mm) design. The Z3+ features an IP65/68 certification like the Z3, but its microUSB port is not covered by any kind of flap.

The Xperia Z3+ shares the same 5.2-inch Full HD 1080p display as its predecessor, but comes with significantly faster internals. This includes a Snapdragon 810 chip, an Adreno 430 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot and high-res audio support.
At the rear, Sony is still using its 20.7MP Exmor R sensor with an F/2.0 aperture, though it has upgraded the selfie camera to 5MP with a 25mm wide-angle lens. Despite the battery size reducing to 2930mAh (vs. 3100mAh on the Z3), Sony claims that the Z3+ can last two-days on a single charge.
The handset will be available in Black, White, Copper and Aqua Green from July 2015.
