Samsung’s CEO JK Shin has shot down rumors about the company releasing the Galaxy Note 5 in July this year.

He also denied reports about the sales of the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge being below expectations.

Samsung has traditionally launched its flagship Note device at IFA every year that happens in September or late August. However, a report from yesterday claimed that the company was planning on releasing the Note 5 in July this year to cannibalise the sales of the iPhone 6s and the iPhone 6s Plus.

Samsung Electronics CEO Shin dismissed the news report as false and Galaxy S6 is again expected to be a strong engine to support Samsung Electronics. Shin has also flatly denied the rumor about upcoming the Galaxy Note 5 in July.

With the Galaxy S6 redefining the Android smartphone experience, it will be interesting to see what Samsung is able to offer with the Galaxy Note 5 to further enhance it.
