LG's UX 4.0

LG today announced the fourth iteration of its UX with smart new features. The latest iteration of LG’s skin looks similar to how Lollipop already looks on the G3, but comes with a number of handy new features.

This includes Quick Shot that will allow users to quickly launch the camera by quickly pressing the volume button located on the back of the handset twice. Another new addition is Smart Board that provides users with a unified way to look at all their information scattered in calendar, music, health and other apps.

Just like Samsung, LG has also included an Expert mode in its camera app in UX 4.0 that will allow users to control some advanced aspects of the camera like the shutter speed, ISO levels and more. The accompanying new Gallery app is now also smart enough to group your photos together based on their geolocation, time and day they were taken.

Other features included in UX 4.0 include Smart Alert, improved readability, simplified icons and more.

LG’s UX 4.0 will makes its debut on the LG G4, which is scheduled to be unveiled on April 28.
