After numerous delays, OnePlus has finally released the first build of OxygenOS for the OnePlus One.
OxygenOS is based on Android 5.0.2 and looks essentially like stock Lollipop. However, it comes with a number of new features and enhancements that help in enriching the experience of using the phone. This includes off-screen gestures — which includes double-tap to wake, music controls quick access to camera and flashlight — custom lockscreen wallpapers, and the ability to re-organize Quick Settings.

Compared to CyanogenMod 11S, OxygenOS lacks a lot of features and customization options. There are also some other issues with the ROM, which are as follows:
-
When printing images, printer service may stop
-
Cannot hang up a call using headphone controls (intermittent)
-
OTG can only recognize FAT32 file system
-
During system update, display of wifi/data notification may be incorrect
-
During system update, display of version number may be incorrect
-
Files sometimes crash when uploading files to the cloud
-
Files may crash when renaming image files
-
Files does not support multi-select deletes
In addition to OxygenOS, OnePlus has also released a feedback app that will allow One owners to directly submit their issues and feedback on the ROM to the concerned team.
OxygenOS will not be rolled out as an OTA update to the OnePlus One. Instead, interested users will themselves have to download and install the ROM manually on the handset.
The download link of the ROM can be found here.
