After a few weeks of rumors and a leaked image, Sony has gone ahead and made the purple Xperia Z3 official. The handset is christened “Xperia Z3 Purple Diamond Edition” and will be launched in Hong Kong by the end of January 2015.

The new purple colored Xperia Z3 will be available for only HK$ 4,998, which is about HK$ 1000 lower than what it currently retails for in the region.

As of now, it is not yet clear if Sony intends to offer this new color scheme of the Xperia Z3 in other regions of the world or not. Until then though, you can lust on some high resolution shots of the handsets shot by the folks over at ePrice.

Sony already offers the Xperia Z3 in Black, White, Copper and Silver Green (in certain regions). The handset is slated to receive the Lollipop update from next month.
