In late October 2014, Samsung officially unveiled the metal-clad Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. A pair of mid-range devices, the new handsets marked a future where metal was more than just a possibility.

The handsets were not immediately available in the United States, though, so many buyers were left out in the cold. That changes now, though, according to a report initially published by Android Central on Monday, December 29. The retailer Expansys-USA now has both the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 available for purchase in the United States in all of their unlocked glory. Both models support dual-SIM as well as LTE-connectivity.

The Galaxy A3, which features a 4.5-inch qHD Super AMOLED display, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz, and a 1900mAh battery, will run buyers $329.99 for the 8GB model. The Galaxy A5, on the other hand, which boasts a 5-inch 720p HD display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and 2300mAh battery, will cost $409.99 for the 16GB model.

Neither handset is going to replace the next flagship, but for anyone looking for a relatively cheap unlocked handset, either option could do the trick. Do you plan on picking one up, if you haven’t already?
