Right after Google unveiled the Nexus 9 earlier this month, it was listed on the Indian Play Store as “Coming Soon.” The tablet is already up for pre-order in the U.S and Europe but there has been no word about its availability in India from Google or HTC.
Now, according to the sources of India Today Tech, the Nexus 9 will be going on sale from November 12th in India. If for some unforeseen reason, Google faces logistics delay in receiving the Nexus 9 shipment, it might postpone the release date by a day or so, but the tablet will definitely go on sale in India from the week beginning on November 12.
It also looks like Google and HTC will only be bringing the 16GB Wi-Fi and 32GB LTE model of the tablet in India. The former is currently listed on the Indian Play Store for Rs. 28,990 while the latter is priced at Rs. 44,900.
Nexus 9 is HTC’s first tablet in 3 years and is the first Android device to feature Nvidia’s dual-core 64-bit Denver CPU. It also features an 8.9-inch screen with a 2048*1536 resolution. Other specs include 2GB RAM, front-facing stereo speakers, 16/32GB storage space, Wi-Fi g/n/ac and optional LTE connectivity.
