While Android L isn’t scheduled to launch until sometime this fall, an early build has made its way to a Galaxy S5, and a video released showing what that looks like has been published for all to see.
The video was originally posted by SamMobile, and it does a good job of outlining several different areas, from the lock screen and buried into other features built onto the device. It’s a brief look, of course, even if it does run over eight minutes. And, to be clear, it’s an early build, so it is possible some things might still change. However, if you have a Galaxy S5 — and plan on keeping it as your daily driver — it’s a nice look at what to expect.
What may come as good news is the fact that it looks like the lock screen notifications will still be present on the Galaxy S5, TouchWiz included. That means you’ll still be able to see incoming messages, and missed call notifications, right there without digging into the handset. As far as Samsung-specific apps, it looks like there’s been a change over to a white background, rather than the blue many handsets have boasted in the years prior.
